Coolant Loss on Lower Radiator Hose for MBZ ML Class
Models Affected
- 1998 - 2003 ML320 (163.154/112.942)
- 1999 - 2001 ML420 (163.172/113.942)
- 2000 - 2003 ML55 (163.174/113.981)
- 2002 - 2005 ML500 (163.175/113.965)
- 2003 - 2005 ML350 (163.157/112.970)
Parts Needed
- Hose Clamp - Part Number 006 997 4390 (Qty 2)
- Lower Radiator Hose (163.154/157) - Part Number 163 501 0582 (Qty 1)
- Lower Radiator Hose (163.172/174/175) - Part Number 163 501 1282 (Qty 1)
Procedure
- Drain coolant.
- Remove lower radiator hose.
- Install the new lower radiator hose and clamps.
- Torque hose clamps to 3 Nm.
- Pour in coolant
Please note the following
- DO NOT replace the radiator. Install lower radiator hose with new clamps.
- Follow proper procedure to drain coolant
- Think green! Dispose old hose and clamps. Properly
